What Quality Control Access Controls#
Quality Control Access determines whether a user can perform inspection actions for specific production activities.The page controls two main access areas:Production Stage Access#
Determines which production stages the user is authorized to inspect.The available stages are taken from the production stages configured in the organization.Outsourced Inspection Access#
Determines whether the user can perform Quality Control inspections for work identified as outsourced production.This permission appears in the system as:Can Perform Outsourcing InspectionsIt is managed separately from the production-stage selection.
Important#
Quality Control Access is an operational permission layer.A user may have permission to open the Quality Control module but still have no assigned production stages.Similarly, a user may have stage access but still require the appropriate general role permissions to open the module and perform inspection actions.Quality Control access should therefore be reviewed together with the user’s role configuration in User Management.

Each row represents one Fabritec user and their current Quality Control access configuration.Access Table#

Username#
The Username column displays the user’s Fabritec login name.The username helps distinguish users who may have similar full names.The username is taken from the user’s account and cannot be changed from the Quality Control Access page.User account information must be managed through the relevant User Management settings.Full Name#
The Full Name column shows the name associated with the user account.The full name allows administrators to identify the person receiving inspection authority.Like the username, the full name is displayed for reference and is not edited from this page.Production Stages#

No Stages#

QC Outsourcing#
The QC Outsourcing column contains a toggle showing whether the user is authorized to perform outsourced inspections.Enabled#
A purple active toggle indicates that outsourced inspection access is enabled.The user may be allowed to process Quality Control requests related to outsourced production, subject to other applicable permissions.Disabled#
An inactive toggle indicates that the user is not authorized to perform outsourced inspections.This setting is useful when outsourced work requires separate oversight, supplier documentation, or supervisory approval.Actions#

Using Stage Search#

The Access tab determines which inspection work an authorized user can perform.1.

Assign access according to actual inspection responsibility.
Use the minimum access required for each user.
Do not assign all stages to every Quality Control user.
Reserve Select All for authorized senior personnel.
Separate internal inspection responsibility from outsourced inspection authority.
Review the user’s technical qualifications before assigning critical stages.
Remove access promptly when responsibilities change.
Disable access for inactive or departed users.
Review users displaying No Stages to confirm whether that configuration is intentional.
Review QC Outsourcing access separately from production-stage access.
Export the access list periodically for audit and management review.
Test access after making significant changes.
Keep production-stage names clear and consistent.
Avoid duplicate production stages with different spelling or capitalization.
Coordinate QC access changes with User Management role permissions.
Review access after adding new production stages.
