Erection

The Erection feature in Fabritec allows teams to track and update the site installation progress of project items after they have been shipped and delivered to the work site.
It extends Fabritec’s execution visibility beyond production and shipping, helping teams monitor what has been produced, shipped, delivered, and finally erected on site.
image.png
Using Erection, you can:
Activate erection tracking for specific projects
Track items across production, shipping, delivery, and erection stages
Confirm delivery receipt at the work site
Update erected quantities per item
Perform bulk erection updates for multiple items
View item details before updating erection progress
Monitor delivered, erected, and remaining quantities
Export erection progress to Excel or PDF
The Erection feature ensures that site installation progress remains connected to the same project, phase, item, and shipping data already managed inside Fabritec.

Confirm Delivery Steps#

To confirm that a shipment has arrived at the work site:
1.
Open the project.
2.
Go to Shipping.
3.
Locate the required dispatch.
4.

Important Update Rules#

Only update quantities that were actually erected on site.
Do not enter a quantity greater than the delivered remaining quantity.
Use the correct operation date and time for accurate tracking.
If multiple items were erected together, use Bulk Update instead of updating each item one by one.

Bulk Update#

The Bulk Update feature allows users to update multiple erected items at once.
This is useful when several marks are erected during the same site activity or on the same date.
image.png

When to Use Bulk Update#

Use Bulk Update when:
Multiple items were erected at the same time
A site team completed several marks during one operation

Exporting Erection Data#

The Erection page supports exporting data for reporting and follow-up.
Available export options:
Excel Export
PDF Export
Use exports for:
Site progress reports

Search, Filters, and Columns#

The Erection page includes operational controls to help users manage large projects.

Search#

Use the search bar to find items by mark, phase, category, or other visible data.

Clear Filter#

Removes applied filters and returns the table to the default view.

Columns#

Allows users to show or hide table columns based on what they need to review.

Reset Cache#

Refreshes the table data when needed.

Erection Progress Logic#

Erection progress is calculated based on delivered quantity and erected quantity.
Example:
Total Qty: 111
Delivered: 111
Erected: 0
Remaining: 111
Progress: 0%
After updating the erected quantity:
Total Qty: 111
Delivered: 111
Erected: 111
Remaining: 0
Progress: 100%
When the full delivered quantity is erected, the item status becomes Erected.

Operational Workflow Summary#

The Erection feature follows this lifecycle:
1.
Create a project and activate Include erection.
2.
Complete the production workflow.
3.
Move items through the Shipping Yard.
4.
Create and confirm shipment.
5.
Confirm delivery receipt at the work site.
6.
Open the Erection page.
7.
Review items under Delivered but not erected.
8.
Update erected quantities.
9.
Track remaining quantities and progress.
10.
Confirm completion when items reach Erected.

Common Use Cases#

Site Installation Tracking#

Track which delivered items have been installed and which are still pending.

Project Progress Control#

Monitor site execution progress after production and shipping are completed.

Delivery-to-Erection Follow-up#

Compare delivered quantities against erected quantities to identify pending work.

Client Reporting#

Provide structured progress updates using exported erection data.

Quantity Dispute Review#

Open Item Details to verify production, shipping, and item history before making updates.

Common Mistakes to Avoid#

Creating a project without activating Include erection when site installation tracking is required.
Trying to deactivate erection after the project is created.
Updating erected quantities before confirming delivery to the work site.
Entering full quantity as erected before site confirmation.
Confusing Delivered with Erected.
Updating the wrong phase when multiple phases are selected.
Using single update for many items instead of Bulk Update.

Best Practices#

Activate Include erection only for projects that require site installation tracking.
Confirm delivery immediately when items arrive at the work site.
Use Delivered but not erected as the main working view for site updates.
Use Bulk Update for multiple items erected during the same site activity.
Review Item Details before updating items with unclear quantities.
Keep project and phase filters accurate to avoid updating the wrong records.
Export erection data regularly for project progress meetings.
Ensure site teams update quantities based on actual erected work, not planned work.

Governance Model Summary#

The Erection feature is built around three operational controls:
1.
Project Activation Control
Erection must be enabled when creating the project.
2.
Delivery Confirmation Control
Items must be confirmed as delivered to site before erection updates are recorded.
3.
Quantity Progress Control
Delivered, erected, and remaining quantities are tracked at item level.
This ensures:
Clear site progress visibility
Controlled quantity updates
Accurate installation tracking
Better coordination between factory, logistics, and site teams
Full traceability from production to erection completion
