Labour Titles

Labour Titles represent the different job roles available in your factory’s production environment.
They help you organize your workforce, assign the right people to the right tasks, and maintain a clear structure for all labour-related processes.

Using Labour Titles ensures:
Accurate assignment of workers to WorkStations
Clear visibility of available operators
Organized labour allocation in production stages
Clean reporting and planning

🔍 What Are Labour Titles?
A Labour Title is the name of a labour role or skill category, such as:
CNC Operator
Laser Cutting Operator
Rolling Machine Operator
MIG/MAG Welder
Galvanizing Operator
Painter Helper
Each Labour Title can have one or more labourers associated with it.
These labourers can then be assigned to production tasks or stages.

Where to Find Labour Titles#

Navigate to:
Navigate to:

Fill in the following fields:#

Title Name (Required)#

The name of the labour role.
Examples:
CNC Operator
Pipe Bending Operator
MIG/MAG Welder
Galvanizing Operator
Use clear names so that managers and team leads can assign workers easily.

Description (Optional)#

Provide a short explanation of the responsibilities or skills related to this role.
Examples:
Responsible for operating CNC plasma cutting machines.
Handles rolling machines and ensures proper curvature control.
Assists painters during surface preparation and coating.
Descriptions help clarify roles for new team members or managers.

Managing Labour Under Each Title#

Once a Labour Title is created, you can assign labours (workers) to it from the Labours page.
Assigned labours appear under the title as:
Worker ID
Worker Name
If a Labour Title has no workers, Fabritec will display “No Labours” in the list.

✏️ Editing or 🗑️ Deleting a Labour Title#

Under the Actions column:
✏️ Edit – Modify the title name or description
🗑️ Delete – Remove the title
⚠️ A title cannot be deleted if it is linked to active production logs or assigned labourers.
(You must unassign its workers first.)

⭐ Best Practices#

Create titles based on actual factory roles (operators, welders, helpers)
Avoid duplicate or similar names to reduce confusion
Add descriptions for clearer responsibility definitions
Ensure that each production stage has the appropriate labour titles available
Regularly review and update titles when operations change
