With the Labours module, you can:
Add and manage your workers
Assign job titles (skills)
Assign shifts
Link workers to specific production stages
Organize your labour resources for better planning and tracking

🔍 What Are Labours?
A Labour represents an individual worker in your factory.
Each labour can have:
A unique code
A name + native name
A job title (e.g., CNC Operator, Welder, Painter Helper)
A shift (Day / Night / Between)
Production stages they are trained for
Labours are used in:
Production assignments
Tracking work hours
Capacity and performance calculations
QC and inspection roles
Bulk Update operations in Production

Where to Find Labours#

Navigate to:
Production Setup → Labours
Here you will see a list showing:
Name

Fill in the following fields:

Code (Required)#

A unique identifier for the labour.
Examples:
550
879
145
Codes help with quick scanning and accurate record-keeping.

Name (Required)#

The labour’s primary name used across the system.

Native Name (Optional)#

Used to store the worker’s name in their local or preferred language.

Job Title (Optional)#

Select the worker’s skill or role from the Labour Titles list.
Examples:
CNC Operator
Rolling Machine Operator
Laser Cutting Operator
MIG/MAG Welder
Assigning a job title helps the system match workers to the correct production tasks.

Shifts (Optional)#

Assign the worker to a specific shift created under Shifts.
Examples:
Day
Night
Between
Shifts help Fabritec calculate true capacity based on working hours.

Production Stages (Optional)#

Specify which stages this labour is qualified to work on.
Examples:
Cutting
Welding
Rolling
Galvanizing
Fitting
Assigning stages ensures accuracy when distributing work or calculating labour availability.

Saving the Labour#

Click Add Labour to save the new worker.
They will immediately appear in the Labours list and will be available for:
Production assignments
QC operations
Bulk updates
WorkStation labour linking

✏️ Editing or 🗑️ Deleting a Labour#

In the Actions column:
✏️ Edit – Modify job title, shift, or production stage
🗑️ Delete – Remove the labour
⚠️ A labour cannot be deleted if they are assigned to active production tasks or logs.
They must be reassigned first.

⭐ Best Practices#

Use consistent naming for all labour codes and names
Assign labour titles before adding workers to keep data organized
Link workers only to stages they are trained for
Set shifts accurately for proper capacity and productivity calculations
Review your labour list regularly to keep records updated
