The Production page in Fabritec allows you to monitor, update, and control all manufacturing activities across your factory.
It provides complete visibility over items in production, user access permissions, and workflow progress — ensuring accuracy, speed, and smooth operations.

Production is divided into five main sections:

My Production

Items

Undefined Items

Access

Logs

Navigate to:

Production → My Production / Items / Undefined Items / Access / Logs

Each section provides tools for managing and tracking production workflows.

My Production

The My Production tab displays production-ready items that require action or updates.

This tab is designed to help production users focus only on items that:

Are ready for stage updates

Require status changes

Need progress recording

Belong to stages assigned to the logged-in user

It acts as a personalized production workspace, filtering items based on user access and responsibility.

What You Can Do in My Production

From this tab, you can:

Update item stages

Record production progress

Submit completed operations

Track items assigned to your production stages

Perform bulk updates (if enabled)

This ensures production teams work only on relevant and actionable items.

Items

The Items tab lists all components currently in the production cycle.
From here, you can track item details, update stages, export reports, or perform batch operations.

Unlike My Production, this view shows all production items across the factory, regardless of user-specific responsibility.

Tools Available

At the top of the Items page, you will find:

Bulk Update – Update multiple items at once

Excel Export – Export the item list in Excel format

PDF Export – Export data as a PDF report

Refresh – Reload the latest data

Clear Filter – Reset all applied filters

Search Bar – Quickly locate items

Columns Menu – Show or hide table columns

Items Table Overview

The table displays all active production items with detailed specifications.

Key Columns

Column	Description
Phase	The project phase the item belongs to
Mark	Unique identifier of the component
Category	Item classification (Trusses, Frames, etc.)
Type	Assembly or Sub-assembly
Operation	Assigned operation (Manufacture, Assembly, etc.)
Qty	Number of units
Stage	Current production stage (Cutting, Welding, Fitting…)
Status	Availability or progress state
Profile	Material profile / dimensions
Drawing	Linked engineering drawing

Item Actions

Each item row includes quick-access actions:

Update Stage

Move the item to the next production stage and record progress.

Item Details

Opens a detailed view, including:

Full specifications

Operation history

Timestamped progress logs

Assigned workers

Project & phase information

View Drawing

Displays the related engineering drawing for accurate production execution.

Bulk Update

The Bulk Update feature allows you to update multiple items simultaneously — ideal for batch manufacturing.

Completed stage

Notes or additional details

This ensures consistency and saves significant time in high-volume operations.

Undefined Items

The Undefined Items tab appears only when the system detects production items that do not yet have a defined production route.

These items cannot proceed through the production workflow until their operation type, category, and production stages are defined.

This tab ensures that all items entering production have a properly configured manufacturing route.

Why Items Become Undefined

Items may appear in this tab when:

The item does not have an assigned production route

The category or operation type is missing

Required production stages are not defined

The item was imported without a complete manufacturing configuration

Undefined items must be configured before they can move into the normal production workflow.

Defining an Undefined Item

To define an undefined item:

Navigate to Production → Undefined Items

Locate the item in the table

Click the Define Route action

Configure the production route details

Save the route configuration

Once defined, the item will automatically move into the production workflow.

Edit Route Window

When defining an item route, the Edit Route panel opens.

This window allows you to configure the production process for the selected item.

Configuration Fields

Field	Description
Category	Defines the production category (e.g., Trusses, Frames)
Operation Type	Specifies the operation such as Manufacture or Assembly
Track Item Unit	Enables unit-level tracking for detailed progress monitoring
Select from Preset Mark	Allows applying a predefined route configuration
Production Stages	Defines the sequence of stages the item will pass through

After configuration, click Save Route to apply the production workflow.

Batch Definition

Multiple undefined items can be selected and configured together.

Steps:

Select one or more items from the table

Click Define

Configure the production route

Click Save Route

This helps production planners quickly configure large batches of items.

After Definition

Once an item route is defined:

The item moves to the Production Items list

Production stages become available

The item becomes visible in My Production if assigned to a user stage

The item can proceed through the manufacturing workflow

This ensures every production item follows a controlled and traceable manufacturing process.

Best Practices

Update item stages immediately when work is completed

Use Bulk Update for large item batches

Restrict access to maintain production data integrity

Export data daily or weekly for reviews

Refresh frequently to sync real-time updates

Always check engineering drawings before fabrication begins

Reports – Analyze production performance

Dashboards – Track daily productivity trends

Shifts – Manage worker schedules

Labours – Assign and manage factory workers
