Folder Structure

šŸ—‚ļø Folder Structure#

The Folder Structure page allows you to create and maintain the document framework used across your Fabritec projects.
This ensures every project follows a standardized folder layout, keeping documents organized, consistent, and easy to manage.
With Folder Structure, you can:
Create reusable folder templates
Standardize document organization across all projects
Edit or modify folder structures anytime
Track how many projects are using each structure
Keep all project documentation clean, organized, and unified

šŸ“ Where to Find Folder Structure
Navigate to:
Menu → Folder Structure
You will see a collection of folder structure cards.
Each card displays:
Structure Name
šŸ“ Number of folders inside
šŸ”— Number of projects currently using the structure
This gives you quick visibility on which structures are active and how widely they are used.

āž• Create a New Folder Structure#

Click New Document to build a new folder structure template.

You will see:

1ļøāƒ£ Name (Required)#

Enter the name for your new folder structure.
Examples:
Main Documents
Engineering Files
Project Certificates
QC Documentation

2ļøāƒ£ Description (Optional)#

Add a short explanation of what this structure is used for.
After filling the fields, click Add Document to create the structure.

šŸ“ Opening a Folder Structure#

Click on any folder structure card to open it.
Inside, you will find a table listing all folders within that structure.
The table displays:
Folder Name
Created By
Created On
Last Modified
Actions (Add Subfolder, Edit, Delete)
This helps you maintain and update document classifications over time.

āœļø Editing a Folder Structure#

When viewing a folder structure, you can:

āž• Add#

Add a new folder inside the selected structure.

āœļø Edit Document#

Rename the entire folder structure or update its description.

šŸ—‘ļø Delete Folder#

Remove individual folders (if not in use).
All updates immediately apply to any project using this structure.

šŸ”— Usage Tracking#

Each structure card clearly shows:
How many folders are inside it
How many projects are using it
This helps you avoid deleting or modifying structures currently applied to ongoing projects.

Create folder structures before launching new projects
Keep folder names clear and standardized
Avoid deleting structures used in active projects
Update structures gradually to maintain project consistency
Use descriptions to clarify purpose for other team members
