A Category is a group of related steel items, such as Built-up beams, Hot Rolled profiles, Trusses, or Purlins.
Every item you import into Fabritec belongs to one Category.Categories are used throughout the system to:Calculate monthly production capacity
Structure reports and dashboards
Distinguish between item types in production and QC

Click New Category to open the creation window.
Fill in the following fields:
1ļøā£ Name (Required)#
The name of the category you want to create.Keep names simple and consistent with your factory standards.
2ļøā£ Capacity per Month in Weight (Optional)#
Defines how much tonnage your factory can produce per month for this category.Hot Rolled: 1200 tons/month
Units follow your company measurement settings (kg / t / lb).

Short explanation of what the category includes.Built-up: fabricated beams, columns, frames
Hot Rolled: standard profiles such as I-beams and channels
