Below are the most common questions customers ask when viewing or managing the Project Details Page, including the extremely important Customer Dashboard.

1️⃣ What is the purpose of the Project Details Page?#

It provides a complete, real-time summary of the project, including production progress, shipping progress, customer contact info, and direct access to the Customer Dashboard.
It acts as the project’s “homepage” for internal teams.

2️⃣ How are Production and Shipping Progress percentages calculated?#

Progress is based on:
Quantity of approved revision items
Completed production stages (routing)
Items shipped or assigned to dispatch
Actual weights vs. expected weights
These percentages update automatically as teams log work.

3️⃣ Can I edit project information directly from this page?#

Yes.
Click Edit Project to update:
Names
Contact details
Scope of work
Address
Surface area
Description
Updates apply instantly across all modules and dashboards.

4️⃣ What is the Customer Dashboard and why is it important?#

The Customer Dashboard is a public, read-only, secure dashboard for your client.
It allows customers to:
Track production
View shipping progress
Review project details
Check completion percentages
Access live updates without contacting your team
This reduces manual reporting and enhances transparency.

5️⃣ How does the customer access the Customer Dashboard?#

Customers need two things:
1.
Dashboard URL (unique project link)
2.
Access Password (generated by the system)
Both are shown on the Project Details Page with a Copy button for easy sharing.

6️⃣ What happens if I change project details after sharing the dashboard?#

All updates—including progress, customer name, scope, address—are reflected immediately on the customer dashboard.
No need to resend the link or password unless regenerated.

7️⃣ Is the Customer Dashboard secure?#

Yes.
Security is enforced through:
A unique URL per project
A password-protected login
Read-only access
No ability for customers to modify any data
Only people who receive the link and password can view it.

8️⃣ Why is my customer seeing incorrect or outdated percentages?#

This usually happens when:
Production logs are not updated
QC has pending inspections
Yard entries were not accepted
Shipping dispatches were not completed
Ensure all teams update progress regularly.

9️⃣ Can I regenerate or reset the customer access password?#

Yes.
Admins can reset the dashboard password if:
A customer loses access
You need to revoke old credentials
You want to secure the dashboard for a new customer contact

🔟 Does the Project Details Page affect other modules?#

Yes.
Updating project details will affect:
Customer Dashboard
Reports
Project summaries
Communication details across all modules
But it does not affect production, routing, QC, or shipping workflows.

11️⃣ Why is the project progress showing 0% even though items were imported?#

Possible reasons:
Revision not approved
Phase not released
Routing not executed
Production not started
Progress only begins to increase once production logs are submitted.

12️⃣ Can customers view per-building or per-phase progress?#

Yes — the Customer Dashboard includes detailed breakdowns such as:
Production per building
Shipping per building
Per-phase summaries
Status indicators
This gives customers full visibility.

13️⃣ Does the system allow multiple customer contacts to view the same dashboard?#

Yes.
You may share the same link and password with any authorized customer personnel.

14️⃣ Why do I see “Open / On Hold / Closed” on the Project Details page?#

These status labels help identify the project’s state:
Open → Active and progressing
On Hold → Temporarily paused
Closed → Project fully completed
The status impacts reporting visibility but not production unless manually managed.

15️⃣ Can I export project data from the Project Details page?#

While the page itself does not include exports, exports are available through:
Phase Explorer
Reports
Dashboards
Shipping
Production
These allow you to share details with customers and internal teams.
