Below are clear, detailed answers to the most common questions users ask when exploring the Reports module in Fabritec.

1️⃣ What is the difference between Dashboards and Reports?#

Dashboards provide quick, high-level visual summaries (graphs and trend lines).
Reports offer detailed, filterable, export-ready data.
Use Dashboards for daily performance overviews, and Reports for deep analysis, audits, and operational planning.

2️⃣ Why are some reports showing no data even though production is ongoing?#

Common reasons include:
Wrong filter selections (phase, category, date range)
The phase was not released for production
Items still in earlier stages (not logged as completed)
Missing or incomplete tracking logs
Outsourced items appearing only in outsourcing-specific reports
Check filters and ensure production updates are correctly recorded.

3️⃣ How does Fabritec calculate productivity in these reports?#

Fabritec uses different calculation methods depending on the report type:
Weight-based → based on completed item weight
Hour-based → based on total labour/shift hours
Stage-based → based on stages completed in sequence
Phase-based → based on total progress for each project phase
These metrics provide a multidimensional view of factory performance.

4️⃣ Can I filter reports by multiple categories, phases, or projects?#

Yes.
Most reports allow multi-select filtering, enabling you to:
Compare multiple categories
Isolate specific phases
Analyze output across different projects
The filter window gives full control over what data is displayed.

5️⃣ What is the difference between “Manufacturing Only” and “Outsourcing Only” reports?#

Manufacturing Only → Shows items completed inside your factory
Outsourcing Only → Shows items processed externally
This separation helps measure internal capacity vs. subcontractor contribution.

6️⃣ Why does the “Shop Load” report matter, and how do I use it?#

The Shop Load report shows how much work is currently scheduled for your factory.
It helps planners:
Avoid overloading workstations

7️⃣ How far back can I view historical data?#

Reports support multi-year analysis as long as production data exists.
There is no system-imposed limit, so you can view data from any year stored in Fabritec.

Yes.
All reports can be exported to Excel and PDF, and the export reflects:
Applied filters
Selected date ranges
Visible fields
Formatting may differ slightly for readability, but data remains accurate.

9️⃣ What is included in the Items Progress Logs report?#

This report includes every production action taken, such as:
Stage updates
Timestamps
Operators who performed the update
WorkStation used
QC approvals or rejections
It provides full traceability for each item.

🔟 Why are my Labour Productivity numbers lower/higher than expected?#

Possible causes include:
Incorrect labour-to-stage assignments
Missing time tracking
Bulk updates affecting many items at once

Backlog represents work that should be completed but isn’t yet.

12️⃣ Why does the “Production by Stage” report show bottlenecks at certain stages?#

This usually indicates operational constraints, such as:
Not enough labour assigned
WorkStation downtime
QC delays
Long processing times
Use this report to identify stages needing additional manpower or equipment.

13️⃣ Can I run reports for a single project only?#

Yes.
Filters allow you to focus on:
One specific project
One phase

14️⃣ Does the Shipping report include partial shipments or only completed ones?#

The Shipping by Phase report includes:
Fully shipped phases
Partially shipped phases
Phases pending shipment
This helps logistics teams track readiness and remaining work.

15️⃣ Do reports update in real-time as operators update tracking?#

Yes.
Reports reflect changes immediately when:
Production stages are updated
QC inspections are approved
Shipping logs are recorded
You may refresh manually if the page is left open for long periods.
