It measures actual production output in weight (tons) over a selected time period.
The dashboard reflects the total weight of items that have completed production stages, not:

Number of items

Number of stages completed

Time spent
It is a high-level indicator of factory productivity.

2️⃣ Why is production measured in weight (t)? Can I change the unit?

Weight is the most reliable metric in steel and fabrication industries for:

Capacity planning

Load forecasting

Productivity comparison

Yes — units can be changed from Settings → Preferences (e.g., tons, kg, lb).
The dashboard will automatically reflect the selected global weight unit.

3️⃣ How often does the dashboard update? Is it real-time?

The dashboard updates in real-time whenever Production or QC submits progress.
If the browser is idle, you may need to refresh the page to see new entries.

No production was logged on those days
